Yellow containers are used to collect Clinical Waste. Clinical waste has a broad definition including any item contaminated with blood or body fluid which may include bandages, dressings, gloves, masks, disposable theatre wraps and waste resulting from medical, dental or veterinary procedures.

It is important to note that waste resulting from Research and Laboratory environments is also classified as a Clinical and Related Waste.
